Dr. Jim Buehler is a lifelong resident of St. Louis and graduated from the University Of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. He is currently a member of the American, Missouri, and St. Louis Veterinary Medical Associations. He has also served as the secretary of the St. Louis Veterinary Medical Association. He lives in the West County area with his wife, daughter, two cats, and a dog.
Dr. Melanie S. Santiago completed her veterinary education at the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine, where she was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Growing up in Puerto Rico, Dr. Santiago received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez in 2007.
Dr. Santiago’s professional interests include all aspects of feline medicine and surgery, particularly internal medicine and endocrine diseases. She is a member of the American Association of Feline Practioners and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
When not in the hospital, Dr. Santiago enjoys anything art related, traveling and relaxing with loved ones. She shares her home with her husband (whom also is a veterinarian), her children and their multiple pets.
Dr. Candice Corrigan graduated from the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and has practiced small animal medicine in Oregon, Colorado, and Missouri. She grew up in Bridgeton, MO and returned to practice in the St. Louis area in 2008. She currently resides in Eureka, MO with her 3 children, two dogs, three cats, two turtles and three birds. When she is not working, she spends her time running, hiking, gardening, and traveling.
Dr. Andy Swatek was born and raised in St. Louis. Dr. Swatek completed his veterinary education at the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine, where he was awarded a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Dr. Swatek officially joined the Westglen family in August of 2023, after 12 years of practicing in various St. Louis specialty/ emergency centers. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Dr. Santiago and their children, camping and being outdoors.
Amy started working at Westglen Animal Hospital in 2005. She enjoys hearing about the lives of our clients and caring for their pets that they entrust to our care. Amy grew up in St. Louis County and has lived here her entire life. She is married with two children and has two grandchildren. Her family also includes three dogs, Hazel, Luna, and Chloe. She loves spending her free time outdoors gardening and spending time with family.
Rachael was born and raised in St. Louis and graduated from the Vet Tech Institute at Hickory College in 2011, becoming a certified veterinary technician. She has been working at Westglen Animal Hospital since August 2011. Rachael shares her home with her long-term boyfriend and three dogs, a terrier mix named Murphy , a Lab/Pitt mix named Gambit and a chihuahua mix named Mojo. She enjoys spending her free time staying active and spending time with her family.
Bridget was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. She graduated from Murray State University in December 2017 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She has been working at Westglen Animal Hospital since February 2018. She has a wonderful beagle- mix named Ginny, living with her at home. She enjoys spending time with friends in her free time.
Melissa graduated from Missouri State University in 2014 with a degree in animal science. She has worked at a humane society, a part time zookeeper and then worked at a rescue ranch until she joined the Westglen family in 2020. Melissa has two dogs, two cats and snakes at home. She also enjoys spending her free time with family, friends, and reading books.
Allison was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. She graduated from Murray State University in December 2020 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She has two dogs Sadie and Emmy and two cats Milo and Gemma at home. She spends her free time with her family and friends outdoors.
Callie was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Murray State in May 2021 with a degree in Veterinary Technology. She has a loving cat, named Tito, and enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Clara was born and raised in St. Louis. She loves to travel as much as possible. She attended the University of Missouri. And has a silly cat named Samuel, who also has red hair like herself.
Julia was born and raised in St. Louis and joined the Westglen family, in August 2023. She studied at Loyola University in Chicago in 2021. She has two fur babies at home named Brody and Bellybutton. She likes to spend her free time with her family, pets and has a deep love for all things spooky.
